I'm still new to malware dev, I made my own custom malware written in Rust,  trying to find a way to bypass windows defender smart screen which says that the software is unknown , it doesnt say it is a virus for certain but it does say that its not trusted , you usually bypass that by signing your .exe with a certificate that costs alot , is there any way around that ?

It's refreshing to see a thread about this specific angle. There are definitely a lot of variables at play here that most people tend to overlook. Curious to hear what others have to say about this as well.
