STOP using Tutanota now!

If you are using this email provider, it is my personal opinion to stop using it immediately!

The red light lights up immediately, even during registration, when you realize that Tutanota does not allow you to register your email if you use a TOR browser or VPN IP. 

Let's take a closer look.

But they don't log 'em, right?
However they can be required to start doing so for a specific user if a judge allows it and it is under § 100a StPO.
So not perfect, I think it is similar to other cases. E.g. didn't protonmail save IP address for when accounts were created? Or maybe I'm mixing things up.

I guess all providers must provide the government with IP addresses (and more) of their users...

Indeed, it is an unfortunate reality that nothing that is offered without charge comes without its own hidden price. Could it be that this is the very reason behind your shift towards deceptive practices? (Ban Reason: Suspected Scamming)
