It's not uncommon either, Russia likes to manipulate Americans' political opinions.
It's probably a big part of why everyone has become so separated in the past decade.

Foreign governments are always trying to interfere in elections. This is not something that's only 8 years old. Russia does it, Americans do it, Chinese do it, Iran does it, etc. A Trump election would obviously have beneficial outcomes for Russian interest in the war efforts. Harris is almost certain to keep funding Ukraine.
