Since TG has changed their privacy policy many groups leaving telegram.
but to where. and where these groups will keep posting about their updates (Channel) and/or Groups.

A lot of them are moving to Signal, Session and Matrix. Myself included.

XMPP with OTR is the best alternative.. its not pretty but it does its job (beeing secure since years)
and also have the option to have group conversations.
