is it worth working as an ethical hacker or is it better to sell vulnerable bases and vulnerabilities.


recently spoke with a fellow who reported over 50 different vulnerabilities Medium, high, critical  to medium and large companies (outside the bug bounty program because companies don't have one)  and all he got was wasted time and various legal threats...

yes, but as an ethical hacker, there is obviously no point doing it if the company is not a member of some bug boutny program because as far as I understand, everyone uses similar answers "the data is not ours but our 3rd party company", or they are not interested in cooperation and rewards at all...

if there's a buyer for whatever data / server or whatever you get that means he's going to turn a profit off you, so basically play off that i guess.

Wearing a whitehat is moderately retarded if you actually care about your finances since you're going to get 99% lower than what some rather chinese guy would pay you for an exploit.
