I've always loved the idea of being a dumbass on the internet. Because I know I'm just way above it in real life. I do music, I write songs, get above average grades at school, and most importantly, have real friends who won't judge me just for goofing around. Never let the haters sink you.

I think many reflect the way they are in real life too, at least in personality. Of course you can make mistakes on the internet, but the same applies to real life. You have to make non-retarded decisions.

Regarding friendship, I think even anonymous friendships online are the same as IRL friendships, if not better. IRL you're limited to your surroundings, while online you can find people who share your interests and connect with them. This kind of friendship probably applies to men, unsure if to women. But yes, you can make very real friends online.

Id say onlineand IRL are pretty similar too. I ask people what their fave movies/videogames/etc are here just like I do IRL. That reminds me I've been meaning to see what people here think of Dune 2 lol
