How do you get employed anyway?

I mean like, fresh out of college/sixth form, in the UK, no work experience. You look for a job and they all want someone with a year or two worth of experience in retail or something. How am I meant to get experience if I can’t even get employed??? Plus all the requirements too. Like, no I’m not working in retail permanently for 40 hours a week

Actually no idea. The economy is fucked for us normal people. But ignore the requirements if you think you can be good at the job. What can they do? Reject you for the job you weren't going to apply for anyway? Who cares if you get rejected if you weren't going to apply anyway? Sometimes they won't reject you, even if you don't fit the requirements. And, if you're here on a hacking forum and you have nothing to lose, you could try lying.

As for me, you'd be better off going to an auto repair shop or starting to work with a soldering iron, learn while you're young, a salesman is a dead end.

Best you're looking at mate is an apprenticeship of some sort.... that MIGHT get you some experience
