I'm looking for good examples of Python code related to information retrieval, such as searching for an email in files saved on a hard drive.

learn REGexp, without it there is no effective parsing

Dude, I did something like this to scan Telegram backup files.
I'll try to find it and post it in Tutorials here.

start with linux basic tools, like grep cut awk sed.
Simpler and faster!
