ETSI is happy to announce that at a meeting in October of its technical committee in charge of the TETRA standard (TCCE), a full consensus was reached to make the primitives of all TETRA Air Interface cryptographic algorithms available to the public domain.

good stuff, thanks for sharing
with some adaptations, TETRA could be a good alternative to encrypt stuff
waiting to see it in the news

I honestly don't see the point in wide-spread adoption of non quantum-resistant algorithms these days. Why do all of the work on something that isn't future proof when you can try and adopt something that is? Just doesn't make sense.

you do not need the cutting-edge tech all the time, just need to setup your operation

imagine you have a ransomware using this stuff, you will not
target big corps. this is more than enough to lock small companies,
specially those that are not tech related. non-nerds will not know wth is
going on, they have never heard about quantum-nerd-stuff

sometimes the simple stuff is enough
