I'll go for One Piece. Naruto was taken out of the hands of the original plot of Kishimoto when the Sasuke runaway arc happened. Neji, Choji, Kiba, and so on, were supposed to be killed in action, making the betrayal of Sasuke all the more heavy and morbid.

Editors went nuts, nonono that's less figurines to sell if they die! Make the story longer, we need to milk that cow!

The rest is history. And, in my opinion, the rest of the story is incredibly subpar. Boring story. Boring art. Boring action that isn't any longer a game of "I counter the counter to your counter! I outsmarted your outsmarting!" but a DBZ fight, whomever has the biggest fireball wins.

One Piece has way more good arcs than Naruto ever had.

Hah, see, you've fallen in a trap many fell in before you. You shouldn't see a good thing and groan at how much of a good thing there is! If you dislike it, then, just stop. If you like it, there's no way you'd be unhappy about the amount of stuff to enjoy. And if you ever find chapters where you're bored, just speed-read it, it's not like you're going to miss vital information.

Unless you really want to see the anime, in which case, that'll take you at least 400 hours by recent estimates. It might be daunting, but I'd rather have too much of a thing I enjoy than not enough!

What an excellent perspective! Love it Harry! I might just watch 1 of those deep dives thats an hour long, but I get the jist the story.... least then i'll be all caught up.

Both are great series in their own ways. But if someone says One Piece is better, you can reply "Well I think Naruto is better" and that's the end of it. If someone argues with you then... Oh well? You like what you like. you don't even have to defend why you think Naruto is better, that's just your opinion and that's fine.
