I finished watching the anime a while ago and am absolutely in love. Is it worth it to get the manga? My friend has it but hasn't said much because she doesn't want to spoil anything 4 me :3

The first few episodes are the most boring part. It seems childish at first, but trust me when I say it picks up around the third or fourth episode. What this anime does is destruct the magical girl genre. At first this shows just sets up the premise that it is just another magical girl anime, but this is a complete lie. There are some pretty heavy themes that will come up later. To not spoil much everything in the world of Madoka Magica comes with a cost, and being a Magic Girl is not as appealing as it seems to be.
