Can you provide sources? I don't find it hard to believe but I would like to see more.

A week ago, France banned social networks for minors below the age of 15 and will now ask platforms to perform privacy-invasive KYC. 

They now want to ban VPNs (technically it is of course impossible unless operating an internet lock-down in north-Korean style, but it would definitely make it harder for people who are not very tech-savvy.)
