Hey there!
I've got a list of password cracking tools for u, most of them are open source and free, some have a paid option, you can still use the free version but it's limited, I hope it helps u, nice day!

- Hashcat: A password cracking tool that uses brute-force, dictionary, and rule-based attacks to recover passwords
- John the Ripper: Another password cracking tool that supports multiple hash algorithms and utilizes brute-force and dictionary attacks
- Hydra: Specialized in brute-force and dictionary attacks on various protocols and services
- Aircrack-ng: Designed for cracking WEP and WPA/WPA2 passwords in wireless networks
- RainbowCrack: Uses optimized search tables (rainbow tables) to accelerate the password decryption process
- Medusa: Similar to Hydra, it's a password cracking tool that supports a wide range of protocols and services
- Cain & Abel: A good tool for sniffing and arp spoofing

For this reason, hashcat is preferred, although sometimes finding the hash-code is a bit of a pain. john finds it pretty well automatically, which is why I think it's directed more for noobs

agree, john is way more versatile and user-friendly, perfect for cracking passwords in general, but it's not very fast. It's a solid choice for beginners. Now, Hashcat is a beast, super efficient and lightning-fast, it maps large scale password cracking tasks. It's a real slick tool. If you want speed, i recommend hashcat. I hope it has been useful.

if dealing with hashes, HASHCAT is the best tool!

if you know how to use it then the chances of you successfully cracking a password is higher.

Hashcat is probably my favorite, sadly though passwords i want to crack either use binary or argon2id which i don't think is crackable. Sad
