I got this password hash from etc shadow, I need help cracking it.  The password is probably up to 8 random characters, numbers, uppercase and lowercase letters, and perhaps special characters.  I appreciate the help

looks like its yescrypt, there seems to be some tools floating around that can attempt it. best of luck

hashcat doesn't appear to support it. But other tools exist. JohnTheRipper might but I'm too lazy to check. Otherwise, use google and maybe github has something.
