What's funny is I just read a story about this guy who's being held in a hotel/Travelodge and he went next door to a Sainsbury's and bought a Fire TV stick. And then he installed some form of "userland" and VPN and ...
started hacking.
So much for his "computer ban". All it took was a couple of Amazon App store installs and he was back at it. Back in the 90's banning someone from using a "computer" was fairly straight forward. But now, phones, TV's, set top boxes, and hell, even fridges and microwaves can now connect to the Internet. Even our light bulbs.
I bet he only used it to log into a chat platform and ask his friends for credentials, there is no possibility that he did it only with that stick

Sure - a single terminal isn't the same as a ParrotOS/Kali distro.
But setting up a VM (or having one from days past) opens up more possibilities. It's a pain in the ass to set up.
I think I recall there being cheap ($5/mo) virtual linux servers used by criminal miscreants.
Or a bunch found with simple google search: https://alterwebhost.com/cheap-vm-hosting/

They're giving out autistic spectrum diagnoses to everyone. If everyone is autistic/ADHD/anxiety then no one is.So don't expect that to work when its a jury of your autistic peers.
In my day, Dustin Hoffman (Rainman) was the only form of autism that was known (high functioning=meant he could talk).
Now they give it out to any guy who's an introvert.
