Hal Finney, born May 4, 1956, was a prominent programmer and cryptographer known for being the first person to receive a Bitcoin transfer. In 2009, he received 10 BTC from Satoshi Nakamoto, marking a milestone in the history of cryptocurrencies.

Finney was an active member of the cypherpunk community and participated in the development of the reusable proof-of-work, a precursor to the mining mechanism used in Bitcoin. His work in cryptography and his interest in decentralized financial systems made him a key figure in the early days of the network.

On January 10, 2009, Hal Finney posted the legendary phrase “Running bitcoin” on his Twitter profile, telling the world that he had launched the first Bitcoin node that was not in the hands of its creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, and demonstrating that the decentralization of this network is real.

Was Hal Finney supposed to live next to Nakamoto? Or possibly the same person.
