Every time I read about hurricanes and people without basic stuff for a week (if I read the news right) my T's & P's go out...
But one of the things always in the back of my mind that scares me is knowing how quickly the government can come in and completely shut shit down, restrict your movements, put up road blocks and close bridges, institute curfews, etc... etc.. I have experienced major fucking hurricanes and its weird to see the government exercise their full authority during emergencies. It is weird that shutting shit down is as easy as it is.
