Session always seemed too "anonomy" for me, it reminded me of the anonymous phone story, but it is easy to use.
I never trusted it or any other messaging app, I simply never use it on any device/network related in anyway to me or my normal life. Always keep your activities separated from your normal life.

If you think minor cryptographic issues will land you in jail, especially if you're not the biggest fish in the sea, you might be overthinking it. It's also important to be where your audience is. If most buyers and sellers are using Session, maybe you should consider using it too.
