Does anyone use CommandoVM or at the very least tried it?

I tried a couple CTFs with it to get a feel for it, it is nice having a windows environment with all my favorite tools as it can do some things linux cannot, but its kind of annoying to get set up, so I always wonder if its worth the extra hassle. 
As much as I like a linux environment I must admit it is a nice tool to keep handy.
