I'm not sure, but I think the story comes from a book, or at least I read a book with a more similar story, "Where Shadows Rise" is the name of the book, however there everything begins with a video game, but the plot that the boy becomes part of the game and all that is similar to the story of the "red rooms"

Even if they do exist, they wouldn't be open to the public and be essentially impossible to find. In my personal opinion, red rooms as seen on the internet don't actually exist.
