A smarter idea would be too use trusted VPNs like Mullvad, Proton, Windscribe etc in conjunction with Tor ...

Using TOR with a vpn will make you easier to identify. Timing the VPN connection to the TOR connection will make you stand out in the mass.

Yeah but you don't want your actual devices IP address leaking if thre's a vulnerability in Tor so honestly standing out a bit more but not finding out who you really are is better then not standing out and then theres a vulnerability in Tor and all of a sudden the spooks got your real IP
