In November 2024, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) suffered a significant data breach due to an open directory on one of their servers. This misconfiguration exposed sensitive records of over 666,435 individuals. The leaked data is provided in a CSV file format with a total size of 309MB. 

Compromised Data: PersonID, CrimeID, FirstName, LastName, DOB, Address, City, State, ZIP, Sex, Race, SSN, DrivingLicenseNumber, DrivingLicenseState, Occupation, EmployerName, EmailAddress, MobileNumber, Latitude, Longitude, And More...

For the curious, this data is from around March, 2017. Roughly 350,000 unique people listed. About 3% have SSNs, about 3% have occupation. 125 have email addresses.

After checking, I found that one of the fields seemed to be a criminal record, which is very interesting.
