I suggest you need a powerful GPU, e.g. 3090 or newer, and a lots of space to store calculated values

Depends on the hash algorithm you target. For Raw-MD5, my john on CPU only can compute 70Mh/s which means I could hash the whole set in a matter of minutes "in theory". But why would I do that? People barely use raw unsalted MD5, and adding even the stupidest of salts would make you 1TB (fullu guessing) rainbow table useless.

Just use it as any other wordlist, in wordlist mode with rules.

But TBH it is far too big too be useful.

rainbow tables = legacy:
- for salted algos you cannot use the technology
- for plain passwords use use a fast cpu or gpu

RockYou2024 is straight garbage and you shouldn't even entertain using it

1: RokcYou is not a good dictionary.
2: Rainbow tables are only good for non-salted hashes. Non-salted hashes are better to crack with a GPU.

There are websites where you can find much more HQ dict, just google around or even look on Breached

There are far better password lists for bruteforcing, rockyou just has that name, and that's it...

I'd be amazing if BF people got together, combined all the database password fields (plain, hashed, bcrypted but cracked), and created the Ultimate BreachedForums Password List.
