Can AI be harmful? Should it be regulated

I lost $195 due to ai directing me do wallet draining sites
When i asked for a refund it refused and denied it was its fault, it just shows that this AI thing can be dangerous

At minimum, independent audits should be required to check for bias and misuse. The stakes are too high.
