He is certainly retarded but just like Bezos buying the Washington Post, he now has a media platform which he can control in his favour. Is that an oversimplification? Sure. But this fucking fascist now controls a huge chunk of the internet with the Twitter takeover, people were saying every day how "Twitter will be dead any day now!", just like how they said "The Russian economy will collapse any minute!!!!!"
