On March 10, 2024, Biznet Home Indonesia experienced a major data breach, allegedly involving an insider threat. Over 380,000 customer records, including usernames, emails, ID numbers (NIK), taxpayer identification numbers (NPWP), phone numbers, and home addresses, were reportedly leaked to the dark web. This data leak surfaced in a post by a actor on social media, claiming to be a Biznet employee who opposed Biznet's Fair Usage Policy (FUP). This policy limits internet usage for customers exceeding 1TB per month, which, according to the actor, led to numerous customer complaints they had received
