To the ~10 people that actually watched it, what did you think? audio-visual masterpiece? A waste of 71 minutes of your life? Subliminal bible propaganda?

It's probably the last one, I still don't regret all those hours of my life that i have spent re-watching it though. It would definitely take a pretty high spot on my list of some of the best things I have ever seen.

You know, for as many times as I have watched it, I don't think I'd be able to accurately describe what it is about. I'd describe it as an art film, with the word art doing a lot of heavy lifting. Long drawn out scenes with a grand orchestral score, it has only like ten lines of dialog but barely a single moment of silence. loosely themed around some biblical concept, mostly just the the great flood if you connect the dots a little bit.

That's about all I can put into words. I can definitely recommend it. It's really artsy though, so I wouldn't judge you for getting bored before even getting halfway through. You'll probably find it if you look up "Tenshi no Tamago"

Probably one of the most compelling and visually stunning animated movies ever made, a movie that doesn't lead us by the hand and leaves us asking many many questions afterwards. Compare this to modern movies and they pale in comparison. Compare this to movies that came out in 1985 and again it would stand tall.

What i think is that

Tenshi no tamago made me feel things, and that's all I care. I could go on theorizing about the meaning of the movie, what the fish symbolize and the film's religious imagery; but instead, I'm going to focus on how this movie made me feel. It made me feel lonely.
