How should the West deal with Iran?

It is clear that Iran is the cause of many problems in the Middle East. They sponsor armed militias which are acting as separate armies inside independent countries such as Iraq and Lebanon, their proxies led a rebellion in Yemen against a legitimate government. Basically every country they meddle in ultimately fails. Now their proxies threaten one of the world's most important trade routes in the strait of Bab al Mandab (Yemen). By now it seems that the U.S. is very fearful to engage with them and the West seems largely paralyzed. What do you reckon should be the proper way to deal with them?

Currently I don't see that one way to deal with it that would really solve the problem.
Apparently the US learned from their past military engagements which ultimately lead to instable countries and wars with no clear winner but only losers. Ultimately the US became a hated imperialist force in many of those countries during the last decades and not only in middle east.
That''s one reason they are hesitant with engagements. Then imagine only the effort and costs and that war in the Ukraine also costs a fortune and it got stuck badly. The conflict in Israel. Possibly also Iran's doing. It's just too much.
This hate against the West and especially the US is fueling the sick extremist ideology of many of those rebels especially the religious extremists.
Given the mistakes the West actually made it's damn difficult to find any nice way out of it.

Sure, obviously the U.S. invasions to countries in the region did not contribute. In my opinion, if the U.S. had one "invasion card" to use, they just wasted it on Iraq which was actually a lesser danger to international security. The problem now, is that even when the U.S. does not threaten to invade anywhere, Iran keeps on being a destabilizing factor in the region, which as mentioned also affects the international order. But you are right, for sure.

Everywhere where Iran is involved, there's chaos, terrorism and failed states. There should be local coalition with the U.S., Israel, Saudi, UAE, etc. to bomb their shit whenever they cross the line.

Stupid. The USA should f*cking mind its damn business. You don't see Iran coming into Mexico. The USA should stay on its continent and mind its business.

I could have appreciated your answer (as any other opinion) before the 'clown', etc. Well, I wish you'd bet that I'm a dimwit with your own life. It would be fun kicking your teeth in after you lose.

Now to the point. The reason why Iran hates the US is because its ruler prior to the Islamic revolution in 1979, Muhammad Reza Shah was a major ally of the US and the US has sold him weapons as well as civilian technologies which transformed Iran into a more secular place, as happens with modernism, and to the dismay of the clergy who since then describe the West as pure evil. While I know that the US invasion to Iraq was a mistake (as it removed Saddam Hussein, who was a rival to Iran), it has opened the door to Iranian expensionism.

Who's the dimwit now, dimwit?
