Has anyone figured out how to decode the passwords yet?

TLDR: Kinda.

The encryption type is 3DES in ECB mode.
The encryption key was not found afaik, but the ECB mode is basically as bad as hashing passwords without salt.

Which means you can grep an encrypted password of interest, it will display all the users having the same password as well.
From there you can find a password hint stupid enough to disclose the password (e.g. "1-6"), or try to guess it by combining the hints.

Some people already already worked on that a bit, and figured out the 100 most common passwords from the breach: https://github.com/morontt/symfobrute/bl...top100.txt
