Peak aesthetics, no 3d computer animations, the beginning of the end of hand drawn Anime.

The story is very good, well written and believable. How a coup d'etat would play out in a democracy.

I haven't seen many anime from the 90's, but I recently started watching Cowboy Bebop, the original version, but I've only seen 4 episodes, so I wouldn't know what to tell you, so far I'm liking it.

Akira is really good if you like serial experiments lain. It's not really in the same vein as lain but it's still really good. Highly recommend.
