A good start is to put their email in https://mailbait.info/
It's a tool to test spam filters on emails.
(Tho the user can ask for their email to be blocked, but it funny meanwhile)

https://haveibeenpwned.com/ shows that their email hasn't leaked. A shame. This could've helped finding their password.

If you know their username you could use Sherlock. It can track down other social media they might have.
