Gurren Lagann is an all time favourite. I'm not mad that it's only one season, it tells its whole story, but I definitely recommend it. If you don't get excited watching it, your heart is made of stone.

For something a bit less popular, Inuyashiki (not to be confused with Inuyasha). Super edgy and dark, but also strangely wholesome. Only 11 episodes. Fun time.

I love Gun X Sword. The story is good and also the Mecha design is great.
